The Psychological Handbook of Behaviour Change

This Handbook is designed to help you implement my CBT-inspired approach to change your behaviour.

If you're

  • Tired of knowing what's good for you but never following through
  • Feel trapped in your own habits, no matter how many times you try to change
  • Convinced that certain achievements are out of reach

then it's probably not willpower or discipline that you're lacking. It might be your brain working against you.

How does it work?

The template combines lessons from CBT, SFBT (Solution Focused Brief Therapy) and Intersubjectivity to help you finally change your behaviour for good.

You’ll be guided through a series of introspective questions. These questions are designed to challenge your automatic thoughts. Automatic thoughts are a bit like your gut reaction whenever you think of doing a specific activity. And if you can’t get yourself to do something even though you know on a rational level that it would be good for you, then this might finally help you get there.

Where can I learn more about this?

If you want to learn more about the theory behind the approach, then check out my video on the topic here.

Who is this for?

  • You have trouble adapting good habits even though you know they’re good for you
  • You keep making commitments but have a hard time following through in the moment
  • You are convinced that you are “just not the kind of person” who could do something

How do I use this?

The Blueprint is an interactive Notion Template. You'll need a (free) Notion Account. The template comes with a tutorial, so you don't need to know anything about Notion beforehand.

I can't use Notion. Any analog alternative?

Yes, the template comes with a downloadable PDF. It's less interactive, but you can print it and fill it out by hand.
